Audience: Educators interested in understanding performance levels, how students are given performance levels, and how this new report may be utilized

Description: This session walks participants through accessing and interpreting data from the enhanced Benchmark Performance Levels report. The Benchmark Performance Levels report now provides data at multiple levels of aggregation, allowing educators to compare performance across tests, classes, and/or schools. Additionally, the standards data that is now provided allows educators to plan standards-based interventions.

Educators understand that effective instruction is central to system-wide school improvement. That’s why WestEd, in collaboration with ATI, is offering a free introductory workshop that overviews how we help schools launch instructional transformation in just 90 days

The half-day agenda for our Launching Instructional Transformation workshopis packed with critical sessions aligned to WestEd's Four Domains for Rapid School Improvement to help you get started with school improvement efforts and achieve important early wins.

  • learn about the Instructional Transformation Cycle, and why it's replacing traditional school improvement methods
  • discover four Early Actions to launch rapid school improvement in 90 days
  • explore the value of building an "A-Team" – a cross-sectional team of staff members that support improvement efforts
  • review ATI’s Galileo K-12 comprehensive assessment system, and learn how it helps facilitate early actions for school improvement and
  • connect with fellow educators about steps they've taken to transform their schools

Completing the Assessment Planner

Description: This session walks participants through how to request, design, and review district curriculumaligned assessments for benchmark testing. Participants will learn how to complete the Assessment Planner and how to utilize Galileo’s Test Review tools to modify an assessment to fit their needs. Special emphasis is placed on the time needed to accomplish assessment planning and review tasks.
